Our services

Understand your feet. Understand your movement.

Footscan is a pressure-sensitive platform that uses thousands of sensors to measure how your feet load and move when you stand, walk and run. This gives us detailed information to help investigate foot problems, understand whether your feet may be contributing to knee or hip pain, analyse your running gait and, where appropriate, create bespoke 3D-printed PHITS insoles.

See your feet in a whole new way.

Our foot scanner uses over 4,000 tiny sensors to create detailed 2D and 3D images of your feet. This allows us to see how pressure is distributed across your feet and identify key patterns in the way you stand, walk and move, helping us understand what may be contributing to your symptoms.

What can a Footscan help diagnose?

Your practitioner will combine the scan results with a clinical assessment to understand the cause of your symptoms.

Metatarsalgia

Plantar fasciitis

Bunions

Flat feet

Imbalanced foot loading

High arches

Achilles tendonitis

Morton's neuroma

More than a foot assessment.

Footscan isn't just useful for assessing foot problems. It can also be used as a detailed gait analysis tool for runners, giving us insight into how your feet behave throughout your running stride.

By analysing how you load and move through each foot, we can identify differences between your left and right side, understand your individual running pattern and spot factors that may be contributing to pain or affecting your performance.

How does it work?

Footscan uses thousands of sensors to measure the pressure beneath your feet as you stand, walk or run.

1. Step onto the scanner

You'll be asked to stand, walk or run across the Footscan platform, depending on the type of assessment you're having.

2. We capture your movement

Over 4,000 sensors record pressure beneath your feet as you move, capturing information that isn't always visible to the naked eye.

3. We analyse the results

Your practitioner reviews the results alongside your symptoms, movement and clinical assessment to identify relevant pressure and movement patterns.

4. We use the information

Your results can help guide your treatment, running assessment or rehabilitation and, where appropriate, be used to design bespoke 3D-printed PHITS insoles.

Bespoke 3-D printed insoles

Your feet are unique. Your insoles should be too.

Our bespoke PHITS insoles are created using the information from your Footscan. They're designed specifically around your individual needs rather than using a standard, off-the-shelf shape.

We can create insoles suited for a range of footwear, from running shoes to steel-toe capped work boots.

They're not just for people with foot pain.

Bespoke insoles can be used as part of managing existing problems, supporting rehabilitation or helping to manage pressure and movement during everyday activities, work or sport.
