How can occupational therapy help you?
At the heart of occupational therapy is the individual - their goals, their priorities and the things that matter most in everyday life.
Functional Assessments
When everyday activities become more difficult, a functional assessment can help identify what’s getting in the way. We look at physical, cognitive and emotional abilities through observation and practical tasks, both at home and in the community. This helps us understand what support, strategies or rehabilitation could make daily life safer, easier and more manageable.
Adaptation Recommendations
If changes at home could make everyday life easier, we can help identify the right adaptations and equipment for your needs. Following an assessment, we provide practical recommendations ranging from small changes to larger home modifications, helping you manage daily activities more safely and independently. We can also work with tradespeople to ensure recommended adaptations are suitable and your investment is put to good use.
Stroke & Neurological Rehabilitation
Following a stroke or brain injury, everyday activities can become more challenging as physical, cognitive and emotional changes affect how you manage at home and in the community. We provide personalised rehabilitation focused on the things that matter most, helping you rebuild functional skills, develop strategies and regain confidence and independence in daily life.
Supporting your return to work
If illness or injury has affected your ability to work, we can help you find a safe and manageable way back. We look at what you can do now, the demands of your role, and what support or adjustments could make returning to work more achievable. Where appropriate, we can provide a detailed fitness to work report with practical recommendations to support a safe, sustainable return.
